What the E-8 SWE Includes

Service Wide Examinations do contain E-PME questions, which are based on information found in the Study Guides and and the E-2 Performance Requirements. Presently there is no Study Guide for the E-2 SWE, but the E-2 Performance Requirements (see below) include knowledge references that you can look up.

Members studying for a SWE should review all the material up to the pay grade they are working towards. Therefore, the E-7 studying to take the E-8 SWE should study all the material found on the E-2 through E-8 Study Guides. The Study Guides contain both Knowledge Requirements to be learned and tested, and Performance Requirements to be observed and signed off as completed. These Knowledge and Performance Requirements are listed below.
